Don’t let the name Owl’s Clover fool you. This wildflower has nothing to do with either owls or clover. In fact, no one knows how it picked up that name.  I search out Owl’s Clover wildflowers every spring.  I go to where I had seen them in previous years.  A lot of times I am too early in my eagerness, or perhaps it has been a dry year and they will wait until sufficient rain next time.  This year they came in sparingly at first but then in strong numbers, staying on well after I thought they would have faded.  Their pink-purple colors and paintbrush-like shape add a splash of color wherever they are found.  They are different from every other wildflower in their look.  Bring one into your world and see what a daily glance at it does for you.
