Mayan Wall Carving At Tikal, Guatemala
Mayan Wall Carving At Tikal, Guatemala
The cities the Maya built in the jungles of Central America a thousand years ago are rarely equalled today. Their architecture carried the message of their culture and beliefs, and not only in the design of their structures but in the detail of the carvings on their walls, interior and exterior. This elaborate carving shows warriors, kings and gods in battle.
